Beats can only be fished on a half day basis, full day on a single beat is not available.

Fishing from 9.00am to 1.00pm or 2.00pm to 6.00pm

Anglers fishing morning and afternoon sessions on two beats on the same day will have Full Day price applied when booking is confirmed.

April 1st. – May 9th: €35 half day, €55 full day

May 10th. – June 27th: €45 half day, €65 full day

June 28th. – August 29th: €55 half day, €80 full day

August 30th. – September 30th: €45 half day, €65 full day

Terms and Conditions for Erriff for 2025

  1. Anglers fishing the river must be in possession of a valid fishing permit and a State Salmon Rod Licence. Each angler must have their license in their possession at all times for inspection.
  2. Anglers must fish in accordance with the provisions of the Fisheries Acts 1959-2019 and the Salmon and Sea Trout Tagging Regulations and any other relevant Bye Laws. Licences can only be purchased online or at the fishery office in Aasleagh during opening hours
  3.  A day permit allows for fishing from 9.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Half Day permits will be available from 9.30am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 6.00pm
  4. Fly fishing only, No rental equipment available or land nets available.
  5.  Erriff river has been designated a catch and release fishery for 2025 All fish must be returned alive.
  6.  Single or double barbless hooks are only allowed. Fish should not be removed from the water before being released
  7.  Land nets will not be available from the fishery. Use of a gaff for landing fish is prohibited.
  8.  Fish which are hooked outside the mouth must be returned alive to the water.
  9.  The River Erriff is in sheep country. Dogs are not allowed on any of the beats.
  10.  Anglers must enter the beat at the beat sign. Always use pathways, stiles and footbridges, which are provided for your convenience. There is no vehicle access to the riverbank.
  11.  Close all gates and do not leave litter. Do not obstruct gateways by parking cars opposite gates. Park only in assigned areas.
  12.  All small fish, particularly brown trout and salmon parr should be returned carefully to the water.
  13.  Every angler must complete their logbook as required and report any catches by phone to the office on the numbers provided.
  14.  Anglers found in breach of these rules may have their fishing permits cancelled.
  15.  IFI reserves the right to refuse admission.
  16.  The Board cannot vouch for the safe state of the fishery at any time due to changing weather and water conditions and the possible presence of hidden and unknown dangers.
  17.  Anglers are warned to exercise the utmost care for their own safety and that of others using this fishery.
  18.  This offer is issued on the strict understanding that the Board’s duty to you and members of your Party is limited to that owed to ‘“Recreational Users” under the Occupiers’ Liability Act 1995.
  19.  The Government/Minister or IFI may have to consider the introduction of additional protection measures which may be introduced during the season. All bookings will be forfeited and money returned as required. This could occur where unsafe or drought conditions affect the fishery
  20.  Anglers are required to disinfect all equipment prior to fishing on the Erriff.
  21.  It is an offence to kill sea trout on the Erriff river
  22.  No rod sharing permitted on the fishery, named permit holder only.
  23.  Anglers are advised to use a personal PFD at all times when in the immediate vicinity of the fishery or riverbank.
