Inland Fisheries Ireland offers fishing in a number of rivers in the North Western River Basin District. The Donegal rivers are mostly acid waters, draining mountains and bogland. These tend to be classic spate rivers, with small resident brown trout and plenty of sea trout and quite a few salmon in season.
